About me
I took the long route into content writing, through academic research, learning languages, solo travel, and a genuine obsession with how things work and why they matter. That detour turned out to be the best possible training for what I do now: understanding complex topics quickly, finding the thread that makes them meaningful, and writing about them in a way that actually reaches people.
I'm Lena, a bilingual (DE&EN) content writer and newsletter expert based on the Spanish coast, working remotely with clients across the German- and English-speaking world.
What I do & what I stand for
For almost eight years, I worked as a senior editor at a digital agency in Germany, creating SEO-optimized content across a wide range of industries — from environmental technology, medical technology, and precision engineering to travel, outdoor, and lifestyle brands. Always making specialist knowledge accessible without losing its depth. Now, I am freelancing, offering my expertise to purpose-driven businesses.
The clients I’m most drawn to are the ones building toward something — whether it’s a coach helping people rethink how they live, or a business where ethics are the foundation, and not just a footnote. I’m particularly interested in companies at the intersection of tech and responsibility and a sustainable future. That’s the kind of work that gets me excited: technically complex and forward-thinking.
My core skill is making complex expertise accessible: taking knowledge that lives in expert circles and giving it language that reaches the people who need it, without dumbing it down.
Me, off the clock
I’ve spent quite some phases of my life in places that required starting from scratch — New Zealand in my early twenties, a months-long solo trip through South America, and now a quieter life on the Spanish coast with my partner, our small dog and ocean view. I’m a certified diver, a reader of thick books, and deeply curious about natural sciences, human evolution, and all kind of big questions about life and purpose.
When I’m not working, I’m usually on a long walk with my dog, reading, cooking, meeting friends, or just staring into the distance, which I consider a perfectly valid use of time in order to sort thoughts and to decelerate.
